be likely to는 많이 보이는 표현인데 내가 사용하려고 하니 조금 헷갈려서 잘 사용하지 않게 되는 표현이라서요. 이번에 공부해보기로 했습니다.
먼저 "be likely to + infinitive" 의 뜻을 알아보면 ~ 할 것 같다. ~할 가능성이 있다는 의미로, 이 때 likely는 형용사로 쓰였습니다. 즉, 현재는 이뤄지지 / 발생하지 않은 것을 나타냅니다.

It is likely to snow.
눈이 올 것 같다.
She is likely to arrive early.

아래와 같이 more 나 less를 붙여 비교급으로 만들 수도 있습니다.

계속해서 목표를 세우는 사람들이 더 성공하는 것 같다.

그리고 not 이나 unlikely 를 사용하여 부정문으로 만들어 ~할 것 같지 않다. 현실적으로 이루어지지 않을 것 같다. 의 의미로 사용할 수 있습니다.
